Literacy: Learning to Read

Students will develop beginning Reading skills: phonemic awareness, phoneme segmentation, fluency, word knowledge, print awareness and literal comprehension. With scaffolding, they will demonstrate higher-level literacy skills: reading strategies, text manipulation, and comprehension.
